Our venue: California Institute for Human Science, Encinitas, California.

To register: CIHS.edu

Each year for the last five years we have had the pleasure of helping our good friend and teacher Yukihiro Takeshima present weekend workshops focused on a particular chakra. This year's workshop follows the same pattern of theory, asana practice, pranayama, and meditation, all of them focused on the physical, energetic, emotional, and mental qualities associated with vishuddhi, the throat chakra. Part of the weekend agenda is the led practice of a system of gentle asana exercises designed to assist meditators achieve a balance of relaxed body and focused mind. They are done in combination with specific exercises developed by Dr. Motoyama which are referred to as Motoyama Meridian Exercises.

Takeshima Sensei is an ideal guide into chakra meditation and into Dr. Motoyama's scientific work on the chakras and meridians. He has practiced yoga for 40 years, is a trained acupuncturist, and has been a student of Dr. Motoyama for 30 years. Please join us for this weekend of learning and practice of  spiritual techniques.
